INSIDE TUDOR

BIRTH OF THE BRAND

In February 1926, the house of “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, a watch dealer and maker, registered the trademark “The Tudor” established in Geneva for Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf. Later, in 1936, the house transferred the brand to Wilsdorf. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, specialising in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.
BORN TO DARE

MEET TUDOR'S BRAND AMBASSADORS

A TUDOR watch is born to dare and their brand ambassadors personify this spirit perfectly. Each ambassador has been chosen for their ability to push limits and reach for the unknown, reflecting TUDOR and every timepiece.
DAVID BECKHAM
TUDOR AMBASSADOR

DAVID BECKHAM

As a child, David Beckham had a dream. Whenever asked about what he would want to be later in life he invariably answered “a football player”. This early drive led him to become one of the most acclaimed, loved and successful players in the history of the game. With three major clubs and 115 selections in the English football team, 59 as captain, he left his mark: 6 England Championship titles, 2 Major League Soccer cups, one time Champion of Spain and one time UEFA Champion.
JAY CHOU
TUDOR AMBASSADOR

JAY CHOU

Brought up in a family of teachers in Taiwan, Jay Chou was introduced to the piano at the age of four, after he demonstrated an early gift for music. He later on picked up the cello and to this day, still mentions Chopin as his favourite composer. Musician. Actor. Director. Icon. For over a decade, the ‘King of Asian Pop’ has pushed boundaries around the world. From Taipei to Hollywood, Jay Chou is always ready to go where the next challenge takes him.

TUDOR COLLECTIONS

TUDOR BLACK BAY

The Black Bay celebrates 60 years of diving watches with extraordinary heritage. The iconic model inherits the general lines, as well as the domed dial and crystal from the first Tudor diving watches. It borrows the characteristic angular hands, known as snowflake, from the watches delivered in large quantities to the French National Navy in the 1970s.

TUDOR ROYAL

Royal is a name first used by TUDOR in the 1950s to emphasise the superior quality of its watches. The TUDOR Royal range is part of this heritage in that it offers automatic sport-chic watches with integrated bracelets that are as affordable as they are uncompromising. Cutting-edge technical performance and refined aesthetic are characteristic of this range, which sits at the crossroads between classic and sports watches and comes in stainless steel or stainless steel and gold and is offered in 4 sizes with 9 possible dials.

TUDOR 1926

Tudor pays tribute to its origins and watchmaking traditions with its 1926 line, a range of mechanical watches that are timeless, classic and elegant. Available in four sizes with a wide choice of dials, the 1926 line is named after the year when “The Tudor” was registered as a brand on behalf of Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf.

TUDOR PELAGOS

A magnificent example of a tool watch and symbol of adventure, the Pelagos is one of the most complete traditional mechanical divers’ watches available today. Waterproof to 500 m (1,640 ft), it is available in both left- and right-handed versions. In addition to its original matt black version, this model is also available in matt blue, the emblematic colour of the brand’s divers’ watches since the 1960s.

TUDOR GLAMOUR

A striking examples of Tudor’s trademark retro-chic style, the Glamour line offers elegance and sophistication alongside a broad range of features. From the daintiest Glamour Date model, to the largest Date+Day and the Double Date models, the selection is exquisite and varied.

TUDOR CLAIR DE ROSE

The Clair de Rose line, reimagined in a classic, refined and timeless spirit, uses the brand’s historic aesthetic codes. The Clair de Rose collection is available exclusively in steel and in six configurations and three sizes, 26, 30 and 34 millimetres in diameter, it presents opaline dials with delicate decorations in relief, punctuated with blue lacquered Roman numerals or diamonds.

TUDOR RANGER

The Ranger model was launched to mark the 70th anniversary of the British North Greenland Expedition. It is a tool watch celebrating the spirit of this daring adventure, complete with Manufacture Calibre MT5402, a 39-millimetre case and a clasp with rapid adjustment system. The Ranger model respects the aesthetic standards established in the course of its history, especially its dial with Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, whilst incorporating new state-of-the-art technical elements. It continues, within the TUDOR collection, the tradition of the expedition watch.
